Shopping for Groceries

Maria woke up late on Saturday morning. She opened her fridge and gasped. “Oh no! There is no milk, no bread, and no eggs!” Her stomach growled loudly. She laughed and said, “Okay, time to go shopping.

Maria grabbed her small shopping bag and walked to the supermarket near her house. The moment she entered, she smelled fresh bread and saw colorful fruits everywhere. Apples, bananas, oranges, and even big green watermelons. Her eyes sparkled with excitement.

She picked up bread, milk, and eggs first. Then she thought, “Hmm, maybe I should cook something special today.” She added cheese, pasta, and some fresh tomatoes to her basket. She walked past the snack aisle and smiled at the chocolate bars. Just one, she whispered and dropped it in.

At the checkout, she realized she forgot something important—rice! She quickly ran back, laughing at herself. “How can I cook without rice?

Finally, Maria carried her bag home. She cooked pasta with tomato sauce, and it smelled amazing. After dinner, she enjoyed her little chocolate bar. She smiled and said, “Grocery shopping is not boring. It’s an adventure… and it always ends with something delicious!
