Buying a Gift for a Friend

It was a bright Saturday morning, and Emma was excited. Tomorrow was her best friend Lily’s birthday! Emma wanted to buy the perfect gift. But there was one small problem — she didn’t know what to buy.

She walked into a big shopping mall. There were so many things — shoes, books, bags, and cute teddy bears. Emma picked up a blue scarf. “Maybe this?” she thought. But then she remembered — Lily didn’t like scarves. She loved music.

Emma ran to the music shop. She saw shiny headphones on the shelf. “These are perfect!” she said with a big smile. But when she looked at the price tag, her smile disappeared. “Oh no! Too expensive.”

She looked around again and saw a small box of colorful guitar picks. “These are simple but special,” Emma whispered. She bought them and went home.

The next day, when Lily opened the box, her eyes sparkled. “You remembered I love my guitar!” she said and hugged Emma tightly.

Emma smiled and said, “A good gift doesn’t have to be big — it just has to come from the heart.”

And that day, both girls learned that friendship is the best gift of all.
